Genesis unveils its newest EV

Genesis has just revealed its latest GV60 crossover, which will sit below the GV70 and GV80 in the brand’s lineup. But, unlike those two models, the GV60 will be an all-electric vehicle that uses the E-GMP platform also found under the Kia EV6 and the Hyundai Ioniq 5.

Though no specific details have been announced, if the GV60 relies upon the E-GMP platform, that would mean it should seat five passengers and offer a 480 km range. Given its siblings’ specs we can imagine it will offer two battery sizes, with 58- and 77.8-kWh power as well as a choice of single- or dual-motor layout, the latter with a 576 hp output. Considering the GV60 will be offered as a luxury model, it’s most probable that we should see just the most powerful battery on the menu, along with all-wheel drive.
