THE FORD LIGHTNING IS BACK

By Éric Descarries

After holding back production for two months, American automaker Ford is relaunching its electric Lightning pickup in both the U.S. and Canada. Available versions include the Flash model, priced at under $87,000.

Ford also informs us that the 2024 versions of the Lightning are equipped with a new heat pump system with steam injection, an improved dashboard display of charging speed (status and estimated recharging time), as well as the standard towing technology package offered on the XLT version and up, including the Smart Hitch and On-Board Scales options, 360-degree camera, reverse assist with trailer and several other accessories. Only certain models feature the BlueCruise autonomous driving system.

  • XLT Standard Range (386 km range): $69,995
  • Flash Extended Range (515 km range): $86,995
  • Lariat Extended Range (515 km range): $99,595
