NEW RATES FOR LEVEL 2 CHARGING STATIONS

By Anne Bourgoin

Circuit électrique has announced a modification to its pricing grid for Level 2 charging stations, effective April 2. Although these standard 7 kWh charging stations are part of the Circuit électrique network, they do not belong to Hydro-Québec. The grid provided by Circuit électrique encourages owners to adopt a more uniform approach to pricing, while still allowing them to set their own prices.

Circuit électrique therefore proposes two pricing approaches: an hourly rate between $0 and $3, or a fixed rate per charging session, between $0 and $10, regardless of duration. Partners will be able to adjust rates as of June 1 and December 1 of each year.

The aim is to facilitate access to public charging, offer competitive prices, optimize flexibility, ensure reliable and consistent service, expand the network of partners and increase the number of Circuit électrique public charging stations.
