EVs PET-FRIENDLY MODE, A COOL FEATURE GAS CARS CAN’T MATCH

Introduced in 2019 by Tesla, the pet-friendly mode is gaining momentum. Analysts believe this feature could significantly attract more buyers to EVs, emphasizing the advantages of EVs over ICE vehicles in terms of pet safety and environmental responsibility.

Whether it bears the name Dog (Tesla), Pet (VinFast) or Creature Comfort (Lucid), this mode showcases the wide range of possibilities EVs can offer. The feature exploits the battery power and software to control the cabin’s climate. It keeps pets safe and comfortable without the emissions associated with gasoline engines. It provides owners with notifications and the ability to monitor their pets through mobile apps and interior cameras.

Rivian and Lucid have added functionalities like displaying a reassuring message on the infotainment screen for passersby and preventing pets from accidentally activating controls. Despite these advancements, animal welfare organizations advise that the safest option for pets is to leave them at home, highlighting that technology, while helpful, is not foolproof.
