Volvo is renowned for its high safety standards, and its Scandinavian origins have always led it to think about the “environment.”

Groupe Park Avenue, a pioneer in the Québec automotive industry since 1959, is proud to announce, in collaboration with Volvo Car Canada Ltd., the opening of the very first Volvo Retail Sustainable Experience (VRSE) store in Québec, under the Park Avenue Volvo Brossard banner. Located at 8755 boulevard Taschereau in Brossard, this new branch marks the opening of the second VRSE location in Canada.

The facility proudly embodies Volvo Cars’ commitment to a greener future, and reflects the shared values of the manufacturer and Groupe Park Avenue. Running entirely on renewable energy sources, Park Avenue Volvo Brossard represents a significant step towards the collective goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The building itself is an example of ecological design, featuring innovative solutions such as Canadian-made Solera glass, renowned for its exceptional thermal insulation properties, ensuring high energy efficiency. What’s more, the Stonehard flooring used in the showroom incorporates 25% recycled glass, emphasizing the responsible use of materials.

Reducing Environmental Impact

As part of Volvo Cars’ VRSE program, the facility has been carefully designed to withstand changing weather conditions, while helping to minimize energy consumption and reduce the environmental impact during construction. For instance, the site features permeable paving, an essential element for rainwater management.

But sustainability extends beyond the building itself. It also applies to the entire customer experience, as shown by the use of leather-free furniture and the availability of recharging stations for electric vehicles. The building also features a canopy covered with photovoltaic (solar) panels that supply electricity to the establishment as well as simultaneously powering the underlying charging stations where vehicles can recharge sheltered from the elements.

An Innovative Concept

From the selection of eco-friendly building materials to innovative design, every element of this dealership strives to contribute to a more sustainable environment for all. “I’m delighted to announce the official opening of our brand-new Park Avenue Volvo Brossard dealership, the first of its kind across the province,” says Norman John Hébert, President and COO of Groupe Park Avenue.
