HOME CHARGING STATION, WHAT YOUR CUSTOMERS NEED TO KNOW
By Anne Bourgoin
Buying an electric vehicle (EV) is becoming increasingly attractive at a time when gasoline consumption is expensive and EV range is on the rise. But a Nissan Leaf doesn’t have the same needs as a Ford F-150 Lightning. At least, that’s what an article in La Presse entitled Ce qu’il faut savoir avant d’acheter une borne de recharge shows.
According to the experts interviewed, it’s important for the customer to understand the vehicle’s built-in charger, since it controls charging power. And, of course, to know the impact of outside temperature and battery charge levels. Amperage, installation costs, wiring, location and available electrical panel capacity, as well as the finishing budget, are all points that need to be addressed to help customers make the right choice.
In short, there’s a lot more to buying an EV than just the cost of the vehicle. Your customers will thank you for this valuable information.
