COULD THE CHINESE HAVE THE SOLUTION?

For as long as we’ve been talking about batteries with a range of 1,000 kilometres or more, the Chinese company Gotion High-Tech Co. has unveiled a lithium-iron-manganese-phosphate (LMFP) battery which, according to its specifications, is designed to power an electric vehicle on a single charge for around 1,000 kilometres (or 621 miles).
The other interesting part is that this kind of battery would be considerably more cost-effective than a nickel-cobalt battery, whose power would also enable it to achieve such a feat. Using an LFP base, Gotion would be able to create smaller batteries that are less expensive to manufacture. An LFP battery can achieve a maximum energy density of 190 Wh/kg, while the addition of manganese would increase this to 240 Wh/kg.
