400 KM RANGE FOR THE NEXT ELECTRIC MINI COOPER

By Anne Bourgoin

Mini is currently working on its fourth edition of the Mini Cooper and its electric version. According to the media Autocar, which attended a private event, the electric Cooper could reach a range of nearly 400 km and would develop a power of 181 horses for the base model. A more powerful variant, which would keep the Cooper SE name, would also be offered with a 54 kWh battery (compared to 40 for the base model) giving it an output of 215 horsepower. A third version, the John Cooper Works, would also benefit from the 54 kWh battery, but with slightly shorter range for more power.

The next generation will be presented in 2024 until the manufacturer submits the whole thing to the relevant government authorities. Stay tuned!
