COULD GM MARKET HYDROGEN POWERED VEHICLES ?
By Éric Descarries
According to American website GM Authority, automaker General Motors has filed to trademark the ZH2 name as the application includes a Goods and Services description of “Motor land vehicles, namely automobiles”.
Yet, as GM is stepping up its all-electric vehicle effort with quite a number of new EVs coming sooner or later, little is known about its hydrogen fuel cell technology development that has included the name ZH2 in the past, mostly on military pick-up prototypes. But since Toyota is already pretty much involved in the hydrogen technology, it would not be surprising to see GM following the same path. And that would explain trademarking ZH2 for private cars.
