FIRST BATCH OF VINFAST ELECTRIC VEHICLES SET SAIL

Vietnamese electric cars officially enter the global market with the shipment of a first batch of 999 units of the VF 8. A ceremony organized by VinFast celebrated this key moment. “The export of the first 999 VF 8s is an important event for VinFast and Vingroup and marks a historic milestone in the Vietnamese automotive industry. It confirms that Vietnam has succeeded in producing high-quality EVs that are ready to compete in the international market. We hope that when VinFast’s smart electric vehicles hit the streets around the world, they will help promote the image of a new, dynamic and progressive Vietnam to the global public.”

The SUVs set sail aboard the Silver Queen – a Panamanian charter ship – bound for California. By the end of December, the first U.S. customers will be able to take possession of their VinFast vehicles.

This first batch marks the beginning of a new era for VinFast, as the company has accumulated more than 65,000 orders worldwide for its VF 8 and VF 9 SUVs. In early 2023, Canadian and European clients will also begin to receive their vehicles.
