TESLA’S CHARGING STATIONS NOW AVAILABLE TO OTHER EVS
Tesla has just announced that its charging stations will now be accessible to all-electric vehicle (EV) drivers in North America.
However, the American company will not create an adapter for the other users. It is making the design of its connector available to all automakers and suggesting that it be integrated into the design of their own vehicles.
Launched in November 2021, this pilot project already extends to fourteen countries, giving access to a network of 35,000 Superchargers globally.
On its website, Tesla points out that “the more customers use Superchargers, the faster the network grows. Our goal is to learn and move quickly, while continuing to aggressively expand the network, so that we can eventually welcome drivers of Tesla vehicles and other brands into every Supercharger in the world.”
