IS THERE A BUICK EV IN YOUR FUTURE?

As we all know, GM’s Buick brand is much more popular in China than it is in North America. Recently, Buick unveiled a new Concept car aimed at that market, the Electra-X a small crossover that seems about the same dimensions as the upcoming 2024 Chevrolet Equinox, an EV based upon the all-new Ultium platform with battery technology.

Note that Buick has already confirmed that it would unveil two Ultium-based electric SUV in North America by the end of 2023. It has also affirmed that the name of Electra would be used for one of them. Could the Electra-X be headed to our market? Buick has recently registered trademarks for the names Electra E1 to Electra E9 which suggests that there might be a complete line-up of Electra EVs. Note that the appellation Electra first appeared on Buick vehicles in 1959 and lasted until 1990.
