HONDA ACCORD 2023—REDESIGNED WITH NEW TECHNOLOGY AND MORE HYBRIDIZATION

For 2023, Honda persists with the 11th generation of its Accord. It has a more modern and sober look, while carrying the recent signature of the manufacturer. Honda announces that the hybrid version will represent more than 50% of the model’s sales.

The new Accord distinguishes itself from previous generations with its 4th generation dual engine hybrid system. Combined power is rated at 204 horsepower, while torque climbs to 247 lb-ft. The EX model is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 192 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. Only the Sport and Touring versions will receive hybridization.

Inside, it features the same dashboard as the new CRV or the recent Civic, with the horizontal strip that integrates the air vents. A 10.2-inch digital display screen is located behind the steering wheel. As for the multimedia elements, they are housed in a 12.3-inch touchscreen mounted on the top of the dashboard. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto apps come standard, of course.

The sedan also welcomes Google features like Google Assistant, Google Maps and Google Play. The 2023 Honda Accord will continue to be manufactured at the Marysville, Ohio plant. Since 1982, more than 12.5 million Honda Accords have been produced there. This 11th generation is expected to arrive here in the spring of 2023.
