Fix Auto celebrates 30 years of aftermarket leadership
Fix Auto, a leading international name in advanced collision repair, is celebrating 30 years this year as it continues to increase its global footprint in new markets and build value for its franchisees in their communities.
Founded in 1992, Fix Auto has grown to become one of the largest collision repair networks in the world. When it was launched, Fix Auto set out to bring together what was then a very fragmented collision repair industry and unite shop owners keen to operate collision centres of the future. Fix Auto is part of Fix Network, which also includes mechanical services and glass repair and replacement services.
Over the years, Fix Auto has introduced its successful franchise development program across the world, expanding not only across Canada but internationally into the United Kingdom, Germany, France, South Africa, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, Australia and the Middle East.
While acknowledging Fix Auto’s rich aftermarket legacy, Steve Leal, president and CEO of Mondofix Inc. dba Fix Network, says the iconic brand will continue to fuel the entrepreneurial passions of body shop owners who are keen to introduce the most sophisticated collision repair services at their centres.
“Our 30th anniversary is a celebration of the many individuals, organizations and franchise partners who have contributed to the success of Fix Auto during the past three decades,” Leal said. “Our commitment is to reinforce this brand’s growth and develop our expertise in a way that will create value for our franchisees.”
Fix Auto’s suite of service offerings has expanded in response to its franchisees’ evolving business expectations and rapidly changing automotive technology. Today, Fix Auto franchisees and their technicians are well-placed to repair the most modern vehicles – thanks to the network’s emphasis on training and certification.
“In today’s business environment, volatility is the new normal. That is why at Fix Auto, we have continuously reinvented ourselves,” Leal said. “A key lesson is to remain relevant by thinking fast and thinking forward. The automotive industry is changing rapidly, resulting in new dynamics. To meet this change, it is imperative to challenge conventional wisdom and look beyond.”
Collision centres aligned with the Fix Auto brand experience the power of the network, while continuing to operate independently. Benefits of the network include access to leading insurance providers and OEMs; technical and training support; and streamlined operational processes that help optimize procedures to deliver consistent, high-quality vehicle repairs.
“Our core motivation and founding spirit from Fix Auto’s original inception in 1992 remains the same – providing innovative technology and high service standards that enable an exceptional consumer experience from beginning to end,” Leal said.
