VIDÉOTRON RECEIVES ITS FIRST ELECTRIC TRUCKS FORD E-TRANSIT

Vidéotron is taking a new step in its green shift by introducing the first Ford E-Transit electric trucks to its fleet. In the coming weeks, they will begin to travel the province’s roads. In total, nearly one hundred of these trucks will be added to the fleet, which already includes 70 other electric, plug-in hybrid and hydrogen vehicles, as well as six Ford Econoline 150s converted to electric power.

In January 2020, Quebecor announced its intention to electrify all of the 1,000 or so cars and light trucks of all its subsidiaries by 2030, which represents an investment of more than $17.5 million. Ultimately, the electrification of the media conglomerate’s fleet will enable it to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by more than 50%.
