UBER CANADA AND FLO PARTNER TO ENCOURAGE THE ADOPTION OF EVS

Uber Canada, the country’s largest urban ride-sharing platform, is partnering with the FLO charging network. The goal is to encourage the adoption of a greener mode of transportation in the cities of Montréal, Toronto and Vancouver. This is another step for Uber Canada to support drivers in the transition to electrification. The company wants to become a 100% electric and zero-emission platform across Canada by 2030. In addition to discounts on FLO charging stations, drivers who use the Uber app will receive a $100 rebate when they purchase a residential FLO HomeTM charging station. FLO members will receive a 50% reduction, up to a maximum of $10, on their first ride with Uber Green. This service connects passengers with drivers who use electric or hybrid vehicles. In addition, they will be eligible for a minimum $300 signup bonus (amount varies by city) if they wish to sign up as a driver on the Uber app.
