My Canada drives electric
The second phase of the EV 2030 Action Plan was recently launched. As you know, this is a pivotal time for the EV sector in Canada. Electric Mobility Canada has developed 32 policy recommendations that will help our country achieve 100% EV sales for light-duty vehicles by 2030, and 100% EV sales for medium and heavy-duty vehicles by 2040. These recommendations are categorized into the following six pillars:
1. Consumer adoption of EVs for light-duty vehicles
2. Electrification of medium-, heavy-, and off-road vehicle fleets.
3. National EV infrastructure deployment plan
4. EV Strategy and Regulations 2030
5. National EV employment and manufacturing capacity
6. Federal Leadership
We want to make a big splash and let decision makers know that Canadians want action on climate change and a successful transition to electric mobility.
