Recyclage Lithion Appoints Eva Carissimi as Vice President and General Manager

Recyclage Lithion announced today the appointment of Eva Carissimi as Vice President and General Manager. In this role, Ms. Carissimi will be responsible for the operations of Lithion’s Quebec-based commercial plants.

Ms. Carissimi is a recognized metallurgical engineer with 30 years of experience in publicly traded companies, start-ups and large mining and metallurgical operations. A graduate of McGill University, Ms. Carissimi began her career in 1989 at the Horne smelter, now Glencore, where she held various management positions. She then joined Falconbridge in 2005 where she held progressive positions as Smelter Operations Manager, Craig Mine Manager and Smelter General Manager. In 2011, she was named one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women. In 2012, she became President and CEO of Canadian Electrolytic Zinc, the manager of the Noranda Income Fund. Prior to joining Lithion, Ms. Carissimi was Vice President of Operations for a specialty metals development company where she was responsible for mining and metallurgical plant operations, the environment and community relations.

Ms. Carissimi is also actively involved in her community. She has held numerous board positions over the years and has promoted and mentored various initiatives for women in business and engineering in Quebec.
