Lucid now available in Canada

Lucid Group, an upstart competitor for Tesla in the luxury electric vehicle market, has just opened its first Canadian sales location in Vancouver. Its first offering is the Air sedan with a starting price of $105,000 CDN. The California automaker’s first “studio” outside the United States is in the CF Pacific Centre mall, in downtown Vancouver. Lucid is planning to open two more Canadian sales studios (other than its actual nine stores in the U.S.) in 2022, the first one in Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre and the other at a yet-unannounced Montreal location. 

Lucid is offering five versions of the Air, starting with the $105,000 480 horsepower Pure with a possible range of 653 kilometres. It is followed by the 620 hp Touring, with the same range that begins at $129,000. The more powerful ,800 horsepower, Grand Touring horsepower offers a range of 830 km for $189,000. At $229,000, you can get the 1,111 hp Dream Edition Performance with a 758 km range while the 933 hp similarly priced Dream Edition range should bring you to 836 km.
