UniglassPlus/Ziebart Fights Hunger in Schools through Rust Protection Program

UniglassPlus/Ziebart, an industry leader in automotive glass and protection, partnered with Breakfast Club of CanadaTM to bring meals to those in need.

From September 1 to October 31, 2021, UniglassPlus/Ziebart locations across Canada will donate one nutritious breakfast for every rust protection treatment.

“The most vulnerable part of your vehicle is the underbody, which can experience harsh damage from the ice, salt and gravel that accompany the winter season,” says Maurice Filion, president, Uniban. “This damage can unfortunately lead to rust, so its best to apply rust protection now, to safeguard your vehicle. This fall, customers can care for their vehicle and give back to an incredible cause while doing it.”

Breakfast Club of Canada reports that, in Canada, nearly two million children risk going to school on an empty stomach, which represents 1 in 3 Canadian children. Additionally, business closures due to the ongoing pandemic have led to a rise in unemployment and poverty therefore increasing the number of people experiencing food insecurity across the country.

“It is a privilege to be able to work with a such a dedicated partner who is committed to the cause and wants to make a difference,” said Marie-Ève Desrochers, Senior Advisor of Corporate Partnerships, Breakfast Club of Canada. “In the past year, the Club has seen a significant increase in attendance and in the need for additional breakfast programs. It is thanks to the support of partners like UniglassPlus/Ziebart that we can continue to reach more and more children every day.”

UniglassPlus/Ziebart is also collecting customer donations for Breakfast Club of Canada throughout the year, should customers want to join in on the contribution for this crucial cause.
