Aston Martin intends to go electric
Back in 2019, Aston Martin unveiled a battery-electric version of its Rapide sedan. But since the British automaker has dropped its plans for the model, it has announced that it would instead focus on new electric vehicles to be marketed from 2025.
Recently, Aston Martin Chairman Lawrence Stroll told major publications the company was planning a sports car and an SUV with electric power still specifying that both vehicles would be built in the United Kingdom.
The sports car should be built in Gaydon, England while the SUV is to be built at Aston Martin’s new plant in St Athan, Wales, currently home to the DBX SUV.
