Magna will produce the new Fisker Ocean

According to SAE Mobilus, Canadian-based company Magna with full manufacturing capabilities is already involved in three OEM electric vehicles (including the well-known Jaguar I-Pace) and hopes to apply that skillset for additional manufacturers, most probably from North America.

Consequently, Magna recently announced that Fisker, a California-based automaker, will use Magna’s EV platform to underpin its upcoming Ocean SUV. The Canadian company was heavily involved in the engineering of the Fisker Ocean.
It will also manufacture the all-new EV, with production expected to begin at its Magna-Steyr facility in Europe in the fourth quarter of 2022. Magna purchased the Steyr-Daimler-Puch assembly facilities near Graz, Austria around the turn of the millennia.

Magna also provides complete vehicle engineering and manufacturing capabilities to many manufacturers.
