Toyota and Subaru Partner for EV Platform and SUV

Toyota and Subaru announced the joint development of a fully electric platform and SUV. The companies have partnered several times in recent years including technology and production. This latest venture is to develop “a platform dedicated to battery electric vehicles for midsize and large passenger vehicles.”

The EV platform is intended for each automaker to build its own vehicles on common architecture saving costs and development time.

The companies will also jointly develop a C-segment electric SUV that will be sold by both companies under their own brands.
