Byton Takes Aim at the Global Market
Not too long ago, Nanjing-based Byton was another start-up electric vehicle company with some good ideas. But it has outlasted its hype and is expected to start mass producing it’s M-Byte SUV this year.
The M-Byte, a large, spacious, long-range all-electric SUV with a new kind of interface, has a starting price of 45,000 USD (60,300 CAD). It is manufactured in China and is expected to be available in Asia, Europe, and the US. 100 M-Bytes have been produced since the first prototype was unveiled in August 2018 and output capacity is expected to reach 300,000 units per year.
