Tesla Model 3 Mid Range Quietly Exits Automaker’s Lineup
Tesla quietly dropped its middle-of-the-road offering, the Model 3 Mid Range, over the weekend. The company introduced the car last November instead of the entry-level Standard Range car. At the time, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, announced that the development of the Mid Range, which cost about 41,200 USD, was cheaper than outfitting the Model 3 Standard Range with a new battery back. Its higher price also allowed Tesla to increase revenue during a tight cash flow cycle.
Over the last few weeks, Tesla has been tweaking its Model 3 line every two or three days with new trim levels and price changes.
