Qiantu Motors Coming to the US

Chinese carmaker Qiantu Motor has found a new partner in North America: the Californian electric vehicle manufacturer Mullen Technologies. They have agreed to homologate, assemble and market the Qiantu K50 electric, a sleek two-seater sports car with carbon elements, in North America.

Some background on these little-known companies: Qiantu is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Chinese CH-Auto group. They obtained one of the limited electric car production licenses in China in 2016 and have been planning for pilot production of the K50 electric car for approximately two years.
Mullen is a relatively new electric vehicle maker that has been working to produce and sell the Mullen 700e electric limousine.
