BATTERY AND CHARGER TECHNOLOGY IS MOVING FORWARD!
By Éric Descarries
Despite a certain slowdown in electric vehicle sales on the North American market, related technology is picking up speed.
At least, that’s what the American publication Automotive News would have us believe, with a special report on the latest technological advances in batteries and chargers.
As we await further developments in the segment of electric cars and pickups, Automotive News urges us to keep an eye on the adoption of Tesla’s Supercharger network, which is becoming the industry standard.
On the other hand, it points to research advances in the solid-state battery niche, while warning of the possibility of shortages of components used in their manufacture. There’s even talk of recycling disposed units.
There’s no shortage of topics to cover in the coming months and years, including the improvement of charging stations and the analysis of the possibility of new battery chemistry. Enough to keep us on our toes for a long time to come, isn’t it?
