HONDA STARTS PRODUCTION OF HYDROGEN-POWERED CR-V

Japanese automaker Honda has begun production of its all-new fuel-cell CR-V e: FCEV at its Performance Manufacturing Center (PMC) in Ohio. This small vehicle will have a range of 435 kilometres, combining the fuel cell system with plug-in electric charging (PHEV). According to Honda, this CR-V is capable of a range of 46 km for urban travel, with the flexibility of hydrogen recharging for longer journeys.

Honda announces that the production of fuel cell electric vehicles at its PMVC centre will be the start of battery electric vehicle production at this Ohio plant, including the programming of its Integrated Power Units (IPUs).
