A $ 7,500 US ANNUAL BATTERY EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR FERRARI’S EV OWNERS

Ferrari is considering a subscription service for its upcoming electric vehicle (EV) owners, offering a battery warranty for approximately $7,500 US per year. This subscription would include comprehensive maintenance and defect coverage, with scheduled battery replacements after eight years to ensure optimal performance. This initiative aims to alleviate potential buyers’ concerns about battery longevity and create a new revenue stream.

The company’s first EV is set to debut in late 2025, likely a high-end SUV costing over $500,000 US. Production will occur at Ferrari’s new E-Building plant in Maranello, Italy, which will handle gas, hybrid, and electric vehicles. This expansion is expected to boost Ferrari’s annual production capacity from 14,000 to 20,000 vehicles. The subscription plan aligns with Ferrari’s strategy to maintain high performance and longevity for its vehicles, which are often kept on the road for decades.
