TOYO LAUNCHES ITS OPEN COUNTRY FOR EV

Since last year, Japanese manufacturer Toyo has been promising an EV version of its recently launched Open Country A/T III.

So here it is, the all-new EV version of this performance off-road tire that includes the famous winter symbol of the mountain silhouette with a snowflake in the centre. Key features include AeroWing sidewalls with contrasting lettering and chamfered shoulder blocks to reduce friction in wind resistance.

The tire will be produced in a range of sizes for 18″ to 24″ rims on vehicles designed to carry heavy loads. The first LT tire (LT275/60R20) is available since last February, initially for the Ford F-150 Lightning, while others will follow for the Rivian R1T and R1S, GMC Hummer EV, Tesla Cybertruck, GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado EV, among others.
