FORD CREATES A TEAM DEDICATED TO DEVELOPING MORE AFFORDABLE ELECTRIC VEHICLES

According to several reliable sources, Jim Farley, president of Ford Motor Company, has already approved the composition of a supergroup assigned to the development of more affordable electric vehicles (EVs).
Therein lies the problem. The EVs currently on the market are too expensive, so Ford is developing a more affordable platform that is likely to be totally different from the automaker’s other Blue Oval electric platforms.
At the same time, GM has announced the return of its Chevrolet Bolt and Bolt EUV based on the current architecture of these small vehicles, but GM will then use lithium-iron-phosphate batteries from a supplier as opposed to its own GM Ultium nickel-cobalt-manganese-aluminium batteries.
