THE UNIVERSITY OF DALHOUSIE CREATES A BATTERY CENTRE
By Éric Descarries
According to a researcher at Nova Scotia’s Dalhousie University, the institution is gearing up to create a Canadian Battery Innovation Centre, as well as a university battery technology program, within its own purpose-built buildings. This represents an investment of some C$13.5 million, and will be known as the Canadian Battery Innovation Centre (CBIC).
The Master of Battery Technology program will start in the fall of 2025. It should be noted that this institution already has a research group called the Jeff Dahn Research Group, which in all likelihood has been associated with the American automaker Tesla for some time.
