ELECTRIFY CANADA ADOPTS A NEW kWh PRICING SYSTEM

By Anne Bourgoin

On January 9, Electrify Canada’s pricing will change. The company has just announced kilowatt-hour (kWh) pricing at its stations across the country. This approach offers a fairer, more transparent experience for EV drivers, replacing time-based charges. In line with recent regulations allowing energy-based pricing, the new structure also works alongside each station’s own pricing, adapting to local market influences. “EV owners appreciate the transparency of kilowatt-hour pricing, which allows them to pay for the amount of energy used to charge their vehicle. And we’re pleased to be able to offer a simpler, fairer billing structure to EV drivers on the Electrify Canadian network,” said Robert Barrosa, President and CEO of Electrify Canada and Electrify America.
