TOYOTA GAZOO UNVEILS ITS HYDROGEN-POWERED RACING PROTOTYPE

By Éric Descarries

At a press conference held on the Circuit de la Sarthe (24 Hours of Le Mans) on June 9, Toyota President Akio Toyoda unveiled the world premiere of a prototype hydrogen-powered racing car, the GR H2 Racing Concept.

Designed for competition in the future, this prototype is brought to the fore by a recent announcement by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, organizers of the 24 Heures du Mans, to accept hydrogen combustion engine (and even fuel cell electric) vehicles in a new division, the Hydrogen Category of the race. Definitely one to watch!
