Ford Blue Oval City on its way
Though Ford’s Blue Oval City was originally announced back in September, new details have been unveiled on the automaker’s 5.6 billion $ US new complex to be built in Stanton, Tennessee. It is there where the automaker will produce electric vehicles, including a next-generation electric Ford F-Series model (that will eventually ride on its own dedicated platform) as well as batteries. The complex will also be housing suppliers. It is expected to create some 6,000 much-needed new jobs. Ford, who received approval for an incentive package from the state, is now searching for suppliers. Ford estimates that it will need around 30,000 temporary construction workers for its 4,100-acre site outside Memphis.
