FLO provides charging solutions at GM’s U.S. workplace

FLO, based in Canada, specifically Quebec, announced the installation of the first wave of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations as part of a multi-year agreement with General Motors (GM), whereby FLO is providing Level 2 AC and DC fast charging stations to be installed at its facilities and plants in the United States.

Over the past two years, FLO’s collaboration with GM has continued to grow and prosper through various agreements. This time around, we are particularly proud to support GM’s move towards full electrification by installing FLO charging stations in employee parking lots. Because we will be serving the needs of employees driving GM’s current and future electric vehicles, we know that our workplace charging solutions will be used by sophisticated electric vehicle drivers with high expectations. We look forward to showing them the reliability of our products and, as a result, helping to strengthen our collaboration with GM.

-Louis Tremblay, President and CEO of FLO

FLO is one of the few electric vehicle networks with charging stations installed at GM plants and facilities in more than 120 locations across the United States. FLO stations are already present at GM sites in New York City, Austin, TX, Arlington, TX, Flint, MI, and several others. To date, more than 350 FLO charging stations have been shipped to GM facilities and plants, including 10 DC fast charging stations, with the remainder being CoRe+ Level 2 AC stations.

At GM, we are committed to getting everyone into an electric vehicle. That will require making electric vehicle charging easily accessible where people work, so we’re excited to work with FLO to increase charging for our own employees, whether they’re in an engineering or manufacturing plant.

-Rick Spina, Vice President, AV/EV Marketing and Infrastructure at GM

Each month, FLO performs hundreds of thousands of charges with more than 50,000 charging stations deployed on public grids, commercial and residential facilities. FLO’s head office and network operations center are based in Quebec City and its assembly plant is located in Shawinigan, Quebec. The company also has an office in Montreal and regional teams located in Ontario, British Columbia, California, New York and Texas.
