Pirelli unveils P Zero tire for Mustang Mach E
With the advent of electric cars that require specific tires, it is not surprising to see several new products as specific coming from the major tire manufacturers.
This is, in fact, the case for the Italian giant Pirelli which now offers us a specific tire for the Mustang Mach E GT Performance Edition. This tire was created to provide both a pleasant ride and a lot of comfort while meeting the sporty characteristics of the vehicle.
Pirelli has developed special rubber compounds and structures for electric cars, including low-rolling resistance, to increase the vehicle’s autonomy while reducing road noise for added comfort. In terms of performance, this same P Zero maintains a high degree of grip on both wet and dry surfaces, which allows it to respond to the almost instantaneous torque of the electric motor. Pirelli points out that this tire also has a specific structure that can support the additional weight of heavier batteries.
The special P Zero in size 245/45R20 103Y XL can be recognized by the Elect inscription on the sidewalls, showing that it was created for electric and hybrid vehicles.
