Chevrolet unveils its Silverado EV

Well-known American automaker General Motors used the annual Consumer Electronics Show to finally unveil the all-electric version of its Chevrolet Sivlerado pick-up truck that will be marketed next year as a 2024 model. According to its manufacturer, the Chevrolet Silverado EV will have a more than 640 km driving range and the Super Cruise driver-assist technology. Towing capabilities have been estimated to up to 4535 kilograms. General Motors said the truck will be able to gain 160 km of range in 10 minutes through a DC fast charger. The electric full-size pickup is expected to be available in two versions initially: a work truck designed for fleet buyers and a fully loaded RST trim for retail customers that will cost almost as much as the new GMC Hummer EV. After production begins next year, Chevy intends to reveal a full portfolio with multiple trims and prices ranging accordingly.
