More EV chargers thanks to the Canadian government

Last week, Seamus O’Regan Jr., Minister of Natural Resources Canada announced that the federal government will invest more than $235,000 in SWTCH Energy, a renewable energy dealer based in Toronto, to help it install some 61 EV chargers in Ontario and Quebec. This project estimated at more than $480,000 including SWTCH Energy’s involvment, aims at providing electric vehicle chargers and energy management to users living in multiples unit residential buildings. This program is added to the ambitious government target wanting all new passenger vehicles sold in the country by 2040 to be EVs.

The Canadian government has invested more than $ 60 million in various programs making EVs more affordable and charging structures more available including a pancanadian fast charging system in every area where Canadians live, work and play.
