Cadillac unveils the final version of its Lyriq

Though the general look of Cadillac’s Lyriq EV was published quite a while ago, the definitive production version of the 2023 car was finally unveiled last week by the automaker. This EV crossover (available only in silver and black hues) will come with standard 20-inch wheels or optional 22-inch wheels. This Caddy is designed on the GM BEV3 electric vehicle platform, which will also be used for other future GM EVs. The Lyriq will be powered by a 100 kWh GM Ultium lithium-ion battery pack and a single Ultium Drive permanent magnet electric motor developping 340 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque.

Range is estimated to be around 545 kilometers while being DC fast-charging capable at a rate of 190 kW. To add some 120 kilometers of range should take only 10 minutes. At home, an onboard 19.2 kW charger should provide a charging speed of up to close to 85 kilometers per hour. Expect eternal rival Ford to fight back with its own Lincoln EV crossover by the time the Lyriq hits the streets.
