UniglassPlus and VitroPlus Fighting Hunger in Schools through Windshield Program

UniglassPlus and VitroPlus, industry leaders in automotive glass repair and replacement, partnered with Breakfast Club of Canada to bring meals to those in need.

Until April 30, 2021, UniglassPlus and VitroPlus locations across Canada will donate one nutritious breakfast for every windshield repair and replacement.

“The start of spring is when we see customers come in for annual maintenance because throughout the winter, bits of rocks and salt can hit your windshield causing chips or cracks,” says Maurice Filion, president, Uniban. “This spring, customers can care for their vehicle and support a good cause while doing it. We are proud to continue our support for Breakfast Club of Canada, especially this year as we recognize it’s more important than ever.”

Breakfast Club of Canada reports that, in Canada, two million children start school on an empty stomach, which represents over one in three Canadian children. Additionally, business closures due to the ongoing pandemic have led to a rise in unemployment and poverty therefore increasing the number of people experiencing food insecurity across the country.

“It is more important than ever for us to be able to count on the support of important partners in the fight against hunger,” said Marie-Ève Desrochers, Senior Advisor of Corporate Partnerships at Breakfast Club of Canada. “The rise of food insecurity across Canada, especially among young children, is of great concern. We are grateful to Uniban for their commitment to helping children reach their full potential thanks to a nutritious breakfast.”

UniglassPlus and VirtoPlus are also collecting customer donations throughout the year, should customers want to join in on the contribution for this crucial cause.
