Jim Farley, Ford’s CEO insists on more affordable EVs

As GM has recently unveiled its all-electric Hummer SUV to come with a price over $ 110 000, according to Ford Authority, Ford’s CEO Jim Farley has mentionned during a recent analyst call that the car company he represents would be building more affordable electric vehicles in the $20,000 to $70,000 range for both the North American and European market.

He also added that Ford was betting on a full line-up of electrified commercial vehicles. Ford has already introduced an all-electric Mustang Mach-E which
production has recently begin as it will also soon unveil its all-new all-electric E-Transit van.

The all-electric F-150 was unveiled lately and it was announced that Ford would retool its Oakville Assembly Plant in Canada to produce five new electric products beginning 2025.
