Canadian Pricing of the Polestar 2 Is Confirmed

Polestar, Volvo’s EV start-up, confirmed this week the Canadian pricing for its first vehicle, the 2021 Polestar 2 on May 12. Its price is $69,900 and deliveries to Canadian reservation holders are scheduled to begin late this summer.

Unveiled in February 2019, this Tesla Model 3 AWD fighter ($67,990 in Canada) is an all-wheel drive, five-door electric performance fastback with an output of 408 hp and 487 lb. ft. of torque. Enough power to allow this car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4,7 seconds. Estimated range provided by a 78 kWh battery should reach 440 km.

This Polestar also boasts an infotainment system powered by Android, with Google Assistant, Google Maps and the Google Play Store built in, an industry first.

The Model 2 is currently available for purchase on the company’s web site polestar.com. However, the brand will soon open Polestar Spaces, with a strategically placed network in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.
