DELPHI PRESENTS NEW BRAKES FOR EVs
By Éric Descarries
Delphi Technologies has once again impressed the automotive brake community with its brand-new parts for electric vehicles.
Initially, Delphi created new brake parts for popular models like the Tesla Model 3 and Volkswagen ID series. The company’s technicians came to the conclusion that, with electric regenerative braking, less braking is required from the hydraulic system. This results in a build-up of rust and other contaminants on less-used parts. This will affect components such as calipers, pad fixings and disc surfaces. Delphi’s aim is to minimize brake maintenance with its new products.
This puts the manufacturer at an advantage over the competition.
