TWO VW PREMIERS AT THE MONTRÉAL ELECTRIC VEHICLE SHOW

By Anne Bourgoin

Volkswagen will be presenting its three rows ID.Buzz minivan and ID.7 sedan in Québec for the first time. The German brand will market its extended version of the ID.Buzz in North America in mid-2024.

The battery has a net capacity of 85 kWh, and a new 210 kWh electric motor will enable the ID.Buzz to increase its top speed to 160 km/h. The vehicle features VW’s largest panoramic roof ever, and a wide choice of standard driving aids such as traffic sign recognition and lane-keeping assist.

VW calls the ID.7 their most refined EV yet. Elegant and aerodynamic, the sedan features a 282 hp electric motor and an 82 kWh battery. Features such as massaging seats, augmented-reality head-up display and intelligent climate control (which senses when the driver is approaching and adjusts the temperature to suit the outside environment: warm in winter, cool in summer) are just some of the conveniences on offer.

Two vehicles to discover at the Montréal Electric Vehicle Show (MEVS) at the Olympic Stadium from April 19 to 21.
