The World Car Awards jury has awarded the World Car of the Year and World Electric Vehicle prizes to Kia’s EV9. A fine double for this SUV, which has already won the Gold Steering Wheel for Family Car, North American Utility Vehicle of the Year 2024 and Newsweek Auto’s Best Luxury SUV 2023.

“The success of the Kia EV9 drives us to continue building exceptional vehicles that redefine the driving experience for our customers around the world. [. . .] The EV9 clearly embodies Kia’s vision and proves our commitment to quality. This award confirms Kia’s leadership in providing sustainable mobility solutions that go beyond traditional vehicles,” said Yoon, President and CEO of Kia North America and Kia America.

Hyundai Motor Group is also delighted with a third award. The IONIQ 5 won the World Performance Car award.
