YOKOHAMA LAUNCHES ITS FIRST UHP A/S TIRE FOR EVs, THE ADVAN SPORT EV A/S

Yokohama Tire (Canada) is off to a good start in 2024, with the launch of its very first ultra-high performance all-season tire designed specifically for electric vehicles, the ADVAN Sport EV A/S.

This brand-new product, on sale since January 1, is currently available in nine sizes for rims ranging from 18 to 20 inches. It carries the new E+ logo, meaning that it is compatible with electric vehicles and meets the requirements of this type of vehicle.

Yokohama announces a long-lasting tread with contact points that balance pressure distribution according to the high torque of EVs. Its reinforced sidewalls provide the rigidity required for road handling, while ensuring a smooth ride. The tread compound uses more silica for better grip, while the broad shoulder blocks provide more control when cornering.

The ADVAN Sport EV comes with Yokohama Canada’s 60-day satisfaction guarantee, in addition to a 100,000 km limited tread warranty.
