16 COMPANIES JOIN FORCES TO MAKE EVs RECHARGING EASIER
By Anne Bourgoin
Charging an electric vehicle at any public charging station in Canada with a single account is the goal of the new Agora initiative.
ChargeHub, BC Hydro and Circuit électrique are jointly leading this campaign, along with twelve other industry partners, ranging from charging networks to automakers.
The idea is to enable users to roam on charging networks with a single account via a platform that will manage all charging. “EV roaming is an important asset for the electrification of transport, and Agora wants to offer efficient information for these vehicles. Facilitating access to interoperable networks through a single account is a priority for the Circuit électrique,” emphasized France Lampron, Director of Energy and Mobility Offerings Development at Hydro-Québec.
Mogile Technologies Inc. has granted funding of over $184,000 as part of Natural Resources Canada zero-emission vehicle awareness initiative.
With 44 charging networks in Canada and 28,000 public charging stations, this initiative could save users a lot of headaches!
