DAIMLER UNVEILS ITS ALL-NEW eSPRINTER VAN

German automaker Daimler just unveiled its all-new, all-electric eSprinter delivery van. Built at first in South Carolina with a look resembling very much the internal combustion engine Sprinters, the eSprinter will be delivered later in spring with an electric motor powering the rear wheels. The battery pack hidden under the floor pan will develop some 113 kW that should give the light truck a range of about 400 km (according to the WLTP [Worldwide Harmonized Test Procedure] method) overall and some 500 km (WLTP) range in the city. Yet, the eSprinter will still be able to offer 14 cubic metres of cargo volume with a total combined weight of 4.5 metric tons.
