THE HYUNDAI N VISION 74 NAMED “INSTANT ICON” BY THE TOPGEAR.COM AWARDS

The N Vision 74 has been introduced in recent months as Hyundai N Division’s interpretation of emotional, sustainable and performance driving by pushing the boundaries of fully electric cars. It is a unique vehicle with experimental technologies that represents the company’s exciting vision for tomorrow and combines Hyundai’s innovative fuel cell hybrid architecture with bold, iconic design.

The TopGear.com jury said, “What N Vision 74 does so cleverly is referencing a moment from Hyundai’s past in its design while offering ideas to propel the future of high performance. It’s what engineers call a ‘rolling laboratory.’ And it didn’t need a showroom to shine. It stunned everyone at its launch and demonstrates the humble but great self-confidence of Korean automakers right now, while the insecure European old guard struggles to stay relevant. In more ways than one, this is a car that amazes.”

Hyundai uses its rolling labs to explore ways to work with different technologies, but what makes the N Vision 74 truly distinctive is the way it blends the company’s past and future. Indeed, from a design perspective, it pays homage to the timeless Pony coupe concept designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro. Yet beneath its iconic lines, it harnesses battery electric technology in combination with a fuel cell system (FCEV), bringing to life the hydrogen-based high-performance potential already anticipated by the 2015 N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo concept car.
